Would like to have a command to get the contact force on a chosen contact surface. I envision something similar to the "SPC Summation" for constraints. (See attached)
Note that the .LOG file gives the total normal and shear force, but there does not appear to be way to correlate the surface numbers in the .LOG file with the surface contacts defined in the model.
I would like to be able to get the pressure distribution on a surface(s).
Examples:
1) pressure distribution due to squeezing of a gasket (when compressing parts are not very stiff)
2) pressure distribution in between a cover and a chassis (no gasket in between). This will be very useful for determining the thermal contact resistance in between the two objects.
The pressure mapped on a given surface shall be able to be exported and used on a future analysis.
Also one shall be able to get an average value too.
I believe adding this capability will be a a massive improvement to the program. Extracting forces and pressures from contacts would offer great benefits as these values can then be used for hand calculations based on classical methods, Standards or Codes.
