I know there is Arnold, but as I see things Arnold will be on the price range of other great Autodesk products that are mostly used by giant studios. Also I do not see any actions on the horizont to have Arnold plugin for Mudbox (probably there should be a rumor if not more, since the engine is in house)
Octane as a PBR path traceing option will go free from 2019 up to 2 GPUs
As an artist I would love to see Octane in Mudbox.
