well in that case they have to change all the logos do they ?  In fact This M is better designed than the one for Maya

Unfortunately that's correct - it's a corporate level thing. There's no way we can unilaterally change the Mudbox logo. But I agree it's really hard to distinguish from Maya and MotionBuilder!

Contrary to that thought, we have 3 "M" logos and icons: Maya, Mudbox, and Motion builder.

I think is a total fail in the product image design, and a lack of reponsability from the designer.

Simple and synthetically.

I agree. Really hard to distinguish. I have opened the wrong app several times because I just can't see the differences at a small scale. Very dumb!!!
