Unable to Sculpt on Second Mesh

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have two objects in the scene, I turn off the visibility of the other object then proceed with sculpting on the one object, I can't sculpt on it. I've selected the model, deselected the model, retopologized the model, added a new sculpt layer, mud won't allow me to sculpt on it.  The other model, I can scuplt on just fine.  It's asthough Mudbox is not allowing me to sculpt on the second mesh in the scene ?

It could be locked. Check the object list. There should be a little lock icon next to its name if it is.

Could you post your solution?  I tried clicking on the "found solution" black bar at the top of this thread but it just kicks me back down to the last reply in the thread....I would love to know what happened as I have ran into this before.  Thanks!

You have to export your object as a OBJ/FBX, then import it back it.

Mudbox shouldn't behave like this, I plan on raising on red flag to support if this continues in the next Service Pack.

Thank You!  Most of the time I'm only modeling one object, but sometimes when I use the standard car base mesh, the wheels will lock up and I can't do anything with them....so, knowing that I will be aware of the export trick....Thanks again!
