Pixelated Bump Maps

How come my bump maps are pixelated ?

Hi, what subdivision sample are you using?, it would be great if do you add a sample of Mudbox file.

Hi.

I did a quick test and the bump map layer seems to work fine on a default as you can see on the attached image.

It could be that your model is not subdivided enough.

Or the map that you use to make the bump looks unecessarily large,

you should be using the whole texture space for the round emblem and avoid the grey in the map.

I did a quick test and the bump map layer seems to work fine on a default as you can see on the attached image.

Hi Manny. The problem was as you said, the texture should be using the whole texture space, something I overlooked. When I made the size of the brush extra large the bump map looked fine using the second image in the first post.


If your curious my mesh is 3.5 million polygons.
