Coloring ideas ?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi guys and girls,

i was kind of experimenting with sculpting in Mudbox. I kind of like it, so i would like to color it, but i dont have any idea what colors to use.

Head should be Octopus, from waist to knees rocks, and the rest something like fish scales etc.

Any ideas about coloring are welcome, as well criticism on my modeling ๐Ÿ™‚

Thx, have a great time. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi:

The concept is an good idea in my opinion, but I would improve the anatomy looking more reference images like the legs of an horse, for inspiring the legs of your creature.

The colors, perhaps looking the images of the proper octopus to get inspiration and make probes and tests.

Is a taste question.

Another tip I can give you is to look other artists using mud for creatures.

Here is the case studies section dedicated to Mudbox artist:

Is an excellent inspiration looking others.

About Mudbox tutorials for modeling, take a look at my last videocourse, in my youtube channel:
