All the tools not smooth but pointy

Anonymous
Not applicable

 Hello all,

Im a beginner in mudbox and just testing the tools on the standard base mesh in mudbox.

It doesn't matter which tool I use, they are not smooth. I can't even make a line.

Saw option like deleting preferences etc. Doesn't work.

I don't know exactly how to explain it but in the image you can see a little bit.

When i try to sculpt it makes only pointy sculps. Like i'm making mountain on a persons head or something.....

And when i try to make a line in the mesh sometimes nothing happens on a part and on a other part it works but not smooth again.

Image 2 is supposed to be a line ... ?! (not at all)

Don't know what to do or how to fix this

Hope someone can help me.

Keep in mind i'm a beginner

Thanks

Accepted solution

The resolution of your mesh is not adequate. You need to create additional subdivision levels (hit shift+D).

Yes - just hit shift D to subdivide the mesh - that will do the trick.
