Hi,

What is the equation (Mold flow is solving) when including wall slip analysis? 

Is there a specific equation for the wall slip velocity ? 

I'm using the Insight Ultimate 2018 version

Hello,

 

I was allready doing some analysis including wall slip. Refer to the link mppkumar provided.

The main Problem ist that in the there is almost no Materialdata regarding the slip coefficient and the slip exponent, and these vary greatly in Order.

I also think that the critical shear stress is not as universal as proposed in most papers (0.1MPa) since I allready had parts with severe slip where the shear stress in the simulations was much lower.

I found some references in the book Flow analysis of injection molds from Kennedy and Zheng. But nothing regarding the material I was interested in.

You will also find many papers regarding wall slip if you do a search on google scholar (keywords: extrusion instabilities, wall slip,  Hatzikiriakos, Rosenbaum)

If you get some data for PA66 please let me know.
