SCM 1.4.77 Update and Moldflow 2021.1.1 Updates are available right now.

Dear Moldflow user community,

I'm happy to announce an update to Simulation Compute Manager (SCM 1.4) and Moldflow 2021.1 are available for download right now!

Summary of this update:

1. Simulation Compute Manager (SCM) supports Proxy servers
2. In Synergy, added support for setting 'Dynamically update results during display' to 'No'.
3. Fixed an issue with the “Shared Views” workflow
4. Resolved a 3D Flow analysis crash for some semi-crystalline materials.

IMPORTANT

To take advantage of the capabilities listed above, you will need to update all the versions of you have installed; Moldflow Synergy 2021.1, Moldflow Insight Standard/Premium/Ultimate 2021.1, Moldflow Adviser Premium/Ultimate 2021.1 and Simulation Compute Manager 1.4.77

Explanation of the different capabilities:

1. Allow users to submit analyses over a proxy network. Setup instructions here.
2. Some customers experience a slowdown in solve time when intermediate results are created compared to Moldflow 2019. This can be noticeable when many result time steps are generated AND/OR when extremely large models are solved. This option will give the user an option to get all the results and requested time steps, without intermediate results updates while the solve is running. The default is “Dynamically update results display during analysis” is set to yes, but the user now has an option to run without intermediate results and gain some speed. The example below is for 3D.

(NOTE: this is not an option in Moldflow Adviser)

3. A change in Shared Views in broke the workflow between Moldflow synergy/Adviser and Shared Views, this is now resolved.
4. We resolved a crash in the 3D flow analysis for some semi-crystalline materials. The change involves a new consistency check and is expected to result in minor increase in warpage for 21 materials in our database. The change does not involve updates to the material data.  Please click on the Release notes link (here) to see the full list of the 21 materials impacted by this.
