Hi Everyone

I have some question about how to input injection machine condition to process setting .

Please see details as below  and help me check ;(correct or not correct).

Suggest me ,If not correct, please recommend me which point that I should to change value .

1.Filling control (Ram speed vs ram position) ; Please see at area to same color on details.

2.Packing /Holding

Hi,

I'm not good at English.  Please look attached images.

I think that both injection and packing are wrong.

And unfortunately there are some number is missing. Anyway, I do the best for fixing.

(1)Injection speed profile dialogue

You should start full-charged position. (see moldflow help)

57, 53 and 15 are left column top to bottom.

I think that this condition sheet is TOSHIBA/SHIBAURA injection molding machine's one.

VSB means suckback(=screw retracting after metering) velocity.

LS10 means suckback length. So you don't need to input these values.

I guess LS4B is exist on actual machine but missing. That number is VI2 to VI3 change position and which is larger number than LS4. Section between LS4B and LS4 is VI3.

I attached an example of profile dialogue(1st picture, this is not reflect VI3).

(2)Holding profile dialogue

TRH means each holding time. TRH1 is PH1's time. TRH2 is PH2's time, and so on.

And "INJECTION" Timer controls total holding time. (see 3rd picture).

Total holding time is (INJECTION Timer - actual injection time).

In this case, injetion time is 1.23sec(lower left corner of molding condition sheet),

total holding time is 12 - 1.23 = 10.77 sec.

Therefore 10.77 - (0.6+1.1+1.6)=4.77 <- PH4's time

Hi Mr.Hirohisa Fujita

I thank you for your suggestion, but would I like some additional about your suggestion, please help me.

Please see topic as below.

1. Should I have LS4B in the injection profile, if have LS4B (assumed or up to you), please show picture of filling control profile to me again.

2. Please recheck your calculation for results in red circle , 4.77 or (my calculation is 7.47), correct or not.

See picture as below.

3.I would like some doubt about time to use packing in red circle., I would like you show calculation step by step again.

See picture as below, in green circle, it's my thing ,please recheck it again.

Hi

Mr. Hirohisa Fujita

Please suggestion me about input cool time parameter.

I some question addition about cool time in condition sheet, please see detail as below and help me check if (correct or not) ,suggest me ,If not correct,

(1)Holding pressure profile

I'm sorry for my mistake. Your calculation is right.

I attach reviesed one.

(2)Injection velocity profile

This is LS4B include one. (Assuming LS4B=50mm)

(3) Cooling time v.s. Cycletime

Cycletime includes mold closing time, injection(1st stage, filling)time, packing/holding time, cooling time, mold opening time ejection/takeout robot time and interval time. On the TOSHIBA's way, INJECTION TIMER means injection and packing/holding time, COOLING TIMER is Cooling time(if charging(metering)time is longer than cooling timer, charging time affect cycle time).

Therefore light blue circled input box is INJECTION TIMER + COOLING TIMER. 12+30=42 seconds.

And also in this dialogue above "Mold-open time" is  actual 50.3s - 42s = 8.3s.

(Perhaps it includes mold opening time,  ejection time and INTERVAL TIMER.)

Hi @h-fujitaDXJU5 and @praphotSYZN3 ,
In my process backflow of the material is there (shown on control panel) where to adjust in the process setting while entering the parameters to the Moldflow

Hi, @adevadkar .

I haven't do that yet. But I believe you can compensate volume flow rate decrease by "Machine screw diameter". Smaller diameter value represents decreased volume flow rate.

This is just cheet technic. Real world backflow depends on the viscosity of material and molten polymer pressure which are fluctuating over injection time.

Regards.
