How PIMsupports F+P+W analysis

In powder injection molding, currently only F+P are analyzed normally. What modifications can be made in the backend of moldflow to support analysis of F+P+W?

Because ordinary warping supports inertia, PIM currently does not support inertia. We hope to see the impact of inertia on PIM analysis

Hello @allan_tu ,

PIM analyses do support Inertia. The option is in the Advanced Solver Parameters setting dialog, just as it is for normal Thermoplastic Injection Molding.

The unique result of a PIM analysis is the prediction of the powder concentration - but this ultimately has no impact in the simualtion on modifying the viscosity, PVT or material properties, so you will get the same warp deflection prediction running the analysis as a normal Thermoplastic Injection Molding analysis Fill+Pack+Warp analysis as you would if you were able to trick the PIM processs type to also run a warp analysis sequence.
