Gate Location

Hello, could someone tell me how to locate multiple gates with particular spacing between each other. For example, first, if there is a linear bar of 50 mm and we are required to place the gates at (from one end) 5 mm, 25 mm, 45 mm. Second, if there is a circular ring and we are required to position three gates at 120 deg between each other. 

I couldn’t find any videos on YouTube. Please let me know the solution.

I don't know of an automated way to do this, but there are two things that I would try.  

1.  Create nodes by x y z coordinates.  This could work if the part is flat, but curved parts would be difficult, unless you get the coordinates from your CAD software.

2.  In CAD software, split the surfaces where you want the gates to be.  The Moldflow mesh typically aligns nodes along surface splits so that you can pick node locations easily because of the visual line in the mesh.
