Export of 3D Weld line as element set, not as node set

Dear Autodesk Moldflow Team,

if that would be possible it will be very helpful for post processing.

Background:

In 3D calculations the result for 3D weld line seems a lot better (?), maybe more precise than the 2D weld line result on the surface.

If that is not intendet let me know. The we have another kind of error going on.

If the suggestion would rather fit in the idea station - please shift it there.

I remember that I asked for improvements of weld lines in Ideas Station, when I was young 😉

In my post, there is an example showing that the predictions are a little better with the 3D mesh.

I just restarted my simulations with AMI2021.

With DD, the results are exactly the same. With 3D, they change a little, but few lines are missing.

My proposal has been one of the most voted ideas for 3 years.

Unfortunately, the Moldflow team doesn’t take care of this forum since that date.

(No idea accepted or implemented since 2018).

So, I pray that your demand is finally heard.

Yes, that was quite a while ago! in 2013...
I'm sure half of the 38 people who voted for this idea have left.

I wonder if at Moldflow they wait for the other half to disappear.
