AMI-2024 / Mesh log information when meshing process failed

In AMI-2024 there is no information in the log text about when the meshing process failed. This was the case in AMI-2023 and was helpful in locating the problem (see figure).

Dear,

Please ensure CAD surface error to be present in your model,

Check with Fusion Validate CAD option,

I don't think this is Fusion related.

@michaelschoenberger2160, can you share the model with support so we can debug this?

Hi Micheal,

-> That should just work as before - I would agree.

But wouldn´t it make more sense to copy the problematic faces in Moldflow to an extra Layer?
Like with other checks on a mesh?

That way a "repair" even in Moldflow is possible, at least you get the area and maybe an idea how and where a repair or substituion makes sense (even without checking the geometry in Fusion).

Problem is that "Face 3025" might not be the same No. in your CAD.

Is that something for the IDEA Station?

Best regards
Harald

Hello Hanno,

I also think this is not related to Fusion, I found the CAD error after that. What I mean is that the AMI 2023 has an additional informational message text where the CAD error is located, and AMI 2024 does not.

With this type of errors, getting the model that is triggering the issue is 'gold' as it allows us to debug this very easily. Without it, generally it is much harder to reproduce and debug.

Hi, you can search for the specific face using the query option and then use the "Entity Navigator" that opens in the top right corner.
