For fem cooling analysing,

We have a mold file that has two parts, cavity/ core, I perform the steps for 3D meshing, the mold and cooling channels are meshed, but the surface on the part that is between the two faces of the mold cube is not meshed so that I can proceed to the next step of meshing. where does the problem come from?

Hello @hamidarta20

Do you also have a separate CAD model of the Part itself?

Yes , i have part cad, but core and cavity just are cubes , actually don't now Do I need to use two sides of the mold with a core/cavity according to the shape of part, or are the cubes of the surface of the mold enough?

I don't have any experience for separate core/cavity mesh

I would be grateful if any of friends could help

Hello @hamidarta20 ,

Maybe a picture would help?  I am assuming that you are meshing the mold cavity/core to 3D for CoolFEM?  Did you use the Mold Mesh feature to mesh the mold halves?  Does the imported mold CAD have cut outs for the part cavity and cooling channels?

Hi @hamidarta20

You can mesh the surfaces and create a dual domain mesh. Then convert to 3D mesh. if you mesh the core and cavity surfaces, you can get the part thickness
