Valve gate trigger “Flow front” INITIALLY OPEN

Valve gate trigger “Flow front” INITIALLY OPEN

Dear Moldflow users,

The idea is to create the possibility to STOP a Valve Gate Controler with a trigger controler as a specific node. Actually, it is only possible to START a Valve Gate Controller with a trigger location as specific node.

Here is the example of my actual case:

I actually try to set some valve gate triggers for a study with to hot gate (one valve trigger per gate) :

  • The first trigger (t1) at gate number 1 has to be initially open and then STOP at a specific node.
  • Then, the second trigger (t2) at gate number 2 should open at a specific node and stay opened until the end of the process.

This works for the second trigger (t2) because when I set the valve gate trigger to “Flow front” I can define a specific node. Moreover, the “Valve gate initial state” turned automatically to “Closed” which means that the trigger is initially CLOSED.

Then, for the first trigger (t1) I can not specified that I would like the trigger to be initially OPEN and then STOP the process to a specific node. This is because the selection option for “Valve gate initial state” is grey and not available.

If you think this idea is good, please VOTE UP !

Thank you in advance for your help,
