option to change the font(size) in moldflow-results

Hello together,

we are doing much Moldflow-Presentation for our Customers.
The presentations have to look well and the font size in the legend
has to be big enough to read it easily.

From Version 2015 to 2016 there was a change of font size (thicker and smaller).
We are not happy with this new size and would like to change it.

I hope you can realize an option to edit the font(size) in result-plots.
we would prefer an global option to edit in all result-plots.

Hi Frank, In the 2016 FCS we did change the font, which on larger screens tunred out to become difficult to read. We did in Moldfolw 2016 SP1 revert back to the previous (2015) font style and size. For now I suggest you install 2016 SP1. Having said that, there are a few other things at play related to this: the emergence of 4k (and 5k) monitors will take HD to a new level, but at the same time challenges user interfaces and operating systems (e.g. Windows 7) that were not inteded to work with these ultra-high definition resolutions. Given the price points of these monitors at the moment, we are expecting these monitors to get main stream adoption in the near future and we will have to address some of these items like font size etc. Apart from that, we do have some interesting developments available shortly in a Tech Preview that would allow you to scale some components manually. Regardless, your reqeueste is valid.

Hi raalteh, thank you for your answer and the accept. We are using Moldflow 2016 Service Pack 1, I can not see the revert in font size in my Version. How can I trys the tech preview ?

I am using AMI 2017 Beta now and in my opinion (my situation) it still has the small fonts.

Please make them BIGGER

I would like to join the list of those requesting this.  Is there an environment variable that we can set to have larger font?

I don't have a 4k monitor nad it's still hard to read in reports and meetings.  Almost every single online meeting I have my customers complain about not being able to read the numbers.  We need to be able to make these larger.  Moldflow Insight 2013 was fine.  It seemed like when Insight started using AA (or whatever visual changes were made) it screwed up the font.  It would be very nice to have more control over the font style and size of font.

Two following images, Insight 2017 (left) and Insight 2013 (right).  Notice how much larger the font was in 2013?  These are screen grabs and were not re-sized at all.  I feel like this newer font is harder to read due to size and the letters are not nearly as crisp.  Personally I would have been fine leaving it alone or just making it bold instead.

Mdemint thank you for the good example, I hope Autodesk understands now what they have to do and we have not to wait until 202X.

It’s an annoying problem in everyday work and I think it’s not a big effort to change the font size or implement an option to change it.

... I hope 2017 SP1 will bring a solution.

I have an update on this issue.  In Autodesk Moldflow Insight 2016 SP2, we added an option for you to choose the font and the font size that you would like to use for your results.  Please see the image below and let me know if this resolves the issues you were experiencing.
