Optimize for responsiveness

If a study is "busy" while saving or working on something, it would be nice to be able to switch to other studies in the meantime and make some adjustments, settings. I find it suboptimal that the whole of Synergy just hangs up for chunks of time.

I second this!

Especially if you have opened several bigger studies, the auto-save option may slow your work tremendously.

I think that multi cpu support or doing the save operation in background could help.
