With dual domain and midplane mesh it is possible to specify the "Entity Ids" for the Probe XY plot of fiber orientation results. Such option is not available for 3D and the probe operation has thus to be performed manually. This is extremely annoying and time consuming!
I know the differences between the different approaches and why is much easier to implement it for dd or midplane. Still, it would be extremely helpful for the community to have a similar possibility with 3D as well.
For example, it should be possible to specify the node on the surface where the probe starts. Or the element.
Another change which has to be added to the software, which I think is much easier to be implemented than the above, is the possibility for 3D mesh to plot on the same graph and at the same time, the different components of the tensor!
In DD and midplane you can easily thick the components of the results that have to be plot, while for 3D only one result can be plot (see attachments).
