When you create beams (or mesh, etc.) the layer manager creates these two folders. I don't ever use them and it makes more work for me to put the elements/nodes where I want them to go.
A couple of cases this isn't an issue because you can assign the new elements to the active layer.
These folders pop up repeatedly and get very annoying. I like to keep my layer manager as clean as possible. I understand its intent and I am sure that this feature is useful for some people. But, since it's adding more work for me almost every time I add a beam or mesh element I would like an option to tell the software not to create these folders in the layer manager.
