Active Window Button for MACRO to run in desired Window in many Moldflow windows

Active Window Button for MACRO to run in desired Window in many Moldflow windows

Hello Team,

Software:- MF2019.2

Current issue.

When running MACRO in one of Moldflow window when working with many Moldflow projects in many Moldflow windows, Moldflow is unable to decide on which window to run a MACRO and End up running MACRO at first window.

But more often we need to run macron not in 1st MF window but 2nd , 3rd and so on ….

Solution:-

Moldflow can be programmed to run MACRO where user will be defining Active window out of many windows.

There will be button in MACRO section that says “Make Window Active”.

And later when we ran MACRO it will run only in Active Window.

Best Regards,

Abdul PATHAN

Hello Abdul and others,

such an enhancement is not necessary because a vbs macro will usually be affecting only the Moldflow session which launched that macro, but there are two conditions required for this to occur:

1. The first line of your macro must say: '%RunPerInstance

2. In the General options tab, you must not have turned on the option which says: "Do not attach macros to a specific instance (Macros legacy mode)."  By default, this option is off and you want to leave it off.

Please let me know if anything is not clear or doesn't work for you.

Hello Franco,

Thank you your quick response.

I tries your solutions mentioned  above. ('%RunPerInstance & specific instance was OFF).

it did not serve my purpose of running MACRO in second window.

It will be great help if we have short meeting online so that I can explain you and demonstrate you our issue.

Hello @Anonymous,

I am certain that macros will attach to the Synergy session from which they are launched, provided that you have met the conditions I mentioned earlier.

Perhaps it would be best if you get someone from your company's support provider to look at this with you to work out what what is missing for you.

regards

Franco
