Meshmixer keeps crashing when trying to perform Separate Cell Function

I am currently trying to separate the shells of one of my meshes and every time try to separate shells it crashes and a page pops up that says "A software problem has caused Meshmixer to close unexpectedly". I am using an Alienware, 16gb of ram and Gforce GTX1080 TI graphics card. The mesh I am working on has vertices: 744619 and triangles: 1457601. If you have any suggestions or could help me I would very much appreciate it.

Posting some screenshots of your mesh might help to analyse your issue.

There are tons of possible reasons. Maybe SeparateShells would create more objects than MM is able to handle (although I'm not aware of such a limit) ? Did you try to run Inspector before? What issues shows Inspector?
