Hello to all,

once i again i would need your help:

I have a object (human leg) and i would need to take the  backside shape  of this leg and put it to another object (milling foam block) to be able to mill it from a foam block.

I was attaching a picture from what i mean.

Left object is the scanned leg -> Transfer the shape to a block object for sending it to a CNC machine.

Thank you for your Always great help 🙂

Several ways...

Probably best is to use BooleanDifference.

Construct the milling foam block and move it to the desired  position  intersecting the scan.

Now activate the scan as a second object (Shift+Click) and run EDIT/BooleanDifference.

hi all,

and after the boolean difference could you do a measured offset? (in order to create the new object with fabrication tolerances).

Or it would be better first the offset and then the boolean operation?

Thank you

Doing the offset first should be the proper way in most cases.

For certain tasks it might work to select the face group resulting from the boolean operation and  to Edit/Offset that selection with some SoftTransition...
