Xgen Fur Map Questions

Hi,

I'm trying to render a very realistic rabbit with Arnold.  I'm using groom-able splines (not IGS)

My questions:

Is it possible to combine a fur color map with black tips?  When I use a ramp in Base color, I can make the fur tip black via the ramp but the fur map isn't applied correctly any more.

These rabbits seem to have black hairs randomly clustered between their eyes.  Is the most straightforward way to create this effect to use a separate XGEN description, and set the melanin very high on the shader?

Thanks

I believe the expressions shown in this video are the answer.

Hi @dangertaz1

Thanks for posting that video! Did you have a chance to test out the process? Any success? 🙂
