XGEN Explodes On Render

Hi there,

This is a persistent problem and I do not know what is the cause. At times, when using functions such as tube groom or converting curves to guides and then rendering, my hair explodes everywhere throughout the scene. Here is an old render to illustrate what is happening.

The only solution I have found is to create a new scene and import the problematic Maya file. While not ideal, it works. However, I'd be curious as to why things are breaking in the original scene, and if there are any workarounds to circumvent such things. It's a bit tedious that every time I want to use tube groom or curve conversion that this happens.

Thanks!
