Using a light to project an image like a projector in Arnold

I am trying to map an image file in the color node of an Arnold spotlight or area light to create a projector lighting effect, like a projector is beaming an image or movie on a surface in the scene. I know this can be done with a Maya spotlight when using the Maya Software renderer but I would like to know how to do this in Arnold.

The image being projected through the Gobo filter is blurry. How do I fix this?

Hi!

What do you mean with blurry?

If there is not enough detail you need a higher resolution for your texture.

I set the image as the color for a light, spread to 0 -and yes its very blurry. Source image is very high rez. Render settings or image filtering don't seem to make a difference. Any idea how to get a sharp projection?
