Textured materials do not render colors correctly in Maya Vector Renderer

Texture colors are not rendering correctly in Vector Renderer. I've tried disabling color management completely, setting it to raw, using the texture on both the Color (as a texture file), Ambient Color, and even the Luminance all at once, but the color still doesn't match the color in the texture file, not even close.

I created a lambert material with an identical mesh next to it to verify, and it's not matching the lambert material, even on Single Fill (in the Maya Vector Renderer Settings). The ambient light automatically generated by the vector shader is expected to slightly alter the color (very slightly), and it does so on the lambert, but there is something else really wrong happening with the textured material causing the color to not even be close.

FYI: The mesh is a single cube. The texture is a single color. Nothing fancy.

Does anyone know the reason for this?
