Setting up project folder to transfer pcs AFTER scene is finished? maya 2017

I know, I can set the project from the beginning, and I can find hundreds of answers for doing that in the first place or using filetransfermanager or some other software, or script, etc. Those answers aren't what I am looking for, and everyone with this same issue always seems to get those same answers.

I have a scene fully textured. I forgot to set a project. Can I get a step by step on how to manually set up a project folder now from a finished scene so it transfers textured? I know I should have done it right in the first place.

Thanks for any help.

Hi!

1. Create the project

2. Move data to the project folders and re-assign textures. (Maybe use File Path Editor.)

If i make a project folder, put the textures in there, redirect my scene to use the textures in that folder (going through every node and replacing image files with files from the new folder) then I just give someone that project folder with scene file in it and when they open the scene on their pc the textures will all work?

Hi!

This should work, yes.

But if using the File Path Editor there should be no need to do this manual for every node (if your textures are in the same folder).
