Render Setup question

Is it possible to see all your render layers composited together in Maya, the way you used to be able to do with the old render layer system? You used to be able to specify multiply, screen, etc and see them all together as one final image. I can't seem to find any way of doing this with the collection system.

Also, when I'm in a layer and I want to override the position of something, like a light for example. I would like to look through the light and just point it exactly where I want it to go. Is there a way to do this? It seems that the only way to override translates and rotates is to manually type in numbers. Can it be done interactively?

Hi!

For the second part of your question:

Panels > Look Through Selected (works for all objects, select a light in your case)

http://help.autodesk.com/view/MAYAUL/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-B35D592A-14E8-4CA8-AB0C-C3ADC7598203

or in Light Editor click on camera icon:

Hi!

I'm not sure what this line means?

Does it work, or not?

The line means that the system didn't allow me to delete the post, when I wanted to go back and try something else.

I still can't seem to move any object or light manually once a collection and override is created. I have to do it with numbers in the property editor. So, if I want to look through a light to position it, I have to do it before I create the collection. If I then want to change the position or rotation after the override is created, I can only do it through the property editor. If I want to use look through again, I have to delete the collection, adjust the position, then create it again, unless there's something I'm not getting.

Also, what about the first part of my question? Thanks.

Hi!

If you create an override the override value is taken from a newly created node and can't be (accidentally) changed from within other tools, that's not only specific to lights.

Workaround: Delete the override and create a new one if you want to use interactive tools that work with the original attribute.

You may also create a feature request at Help -> Speak Back -> Ideas for Maya

To the first part of your question:

With Render Setup i don't see an option to set a blend-mode manual.
