I'm trying to render our a scene where I have a number of objects that need to be on their own layers.
I have made three render layers entitled "Blimp_01", "Blimp_02" and "Blimp_03". I have turned off the master layer and have only selected these layers to be renderable.
In render settings, I have set the name of the render to be called <RenderLayer> and then within the example, it changes to show me Blimp_01.01.png. Which is great and exactly what I want.
When I go to render the layers they are not rendered to their corresponding name, instead, they are given masterLayer. What this means is that every time it renders each render layer is replaced each time so I only get the final render layer completed.
On my work computer, this works fine, it is running Windows 7. My home computer is running Windows 10. I've looked around online to see if anyone is having a similar issue and can't seem to find anyone complaining about this either but I have heard that Windows 10 seems to cause other issues for the Render Setup. Any help would be great as I'm currently working around this and rendering the layers one by one... which makes me super sad.
Thanks,
Liam
Hey there Liam!
I have encountered the same exact problem with maya 2020 while trying to render with Octane. This only seems to be a recent issue (starting in 2022). Did you ever find a solution or cause for your problem? If not I'm still on the hunt for answers!
