Pupils projection all over eye

I projected my pupil on to my spherical eye using planar projection, just as the tutorial im following instructed. Bounding box is selected and insert projection before deformers is selected. The problem is the pupils are on all sides of the eye. So if I scale the size of the main pupil down to much the other pupils start to appear around the main central pupil. Or if I rotate my eye, the other pupils start showing on the eye. I dont know where i went wrong, any advice on what may be causing this?

Thanks

Hi!

This is normal.

If you don't want the pupils to appear on the back side of the eye you need a different UV mapping for the back side of the eye.

You can edit the UVs for faces/vertices of the back side independently of the front side.
