PSD File texture color is wrong if the file path contains Japanese characters

The problem is observed with the Maya Software Renderer, when using a PSD File texture for the Color element of a material (for example the Base Color of a standardSurface material).

If the PSD file contains regions with alpha=0, the rendered color for these regions will be different if the path of the file contains Japanese characters.

The images below show the problem. In both cases, we use the exact same basic scene with the same standardSurface material  and same PSD file, but in 1 case the PSD file is located in a path containing Japanese characters and the other the path contains only basic ASCII characters.

The black / white area on the rendered sphere has ARGB=0000 in the PSD file.

I also attached the PSD file for reference.
