Problem with Xgen Color: I can't change the color of Fur

Good day, Dear community!

I have an foolish problem. I can't change the texture to make my fur as teexture color!

Let me explain my problem. I create a cat (Image 01).

I want to make it tubby color, so I drew an texture for it (Image 02).

I created an xGen desscription Cat_fur. I tried to change the main color for the fur. As I can understand, xGen uses Ptex textures, so I need to convert my UV texture to Ptex. I go to Preview/output, in Primitive color I create a map for color (white, so all my cat take white fur). After it in Hipershade I change the file here to my texture file.

In the viewport the color of fur become perfect! (Image 04). But ... why instead of black color I have brown? I do not know!!!!

But it isn't all! When I try to render it in Mental ray render, I have picture like Image 05. It is like xGen have no texture at all!

Please help me, let me know what I do wrong! I spend all my day with this cat and now I hate cats!

I know that in hipershade I have xgen_hair_phisical node (Image 06), but I do not know how I can use it in this case. Because it is the common color, but I need texture for color!

Hi!

This is just for preview (under Preview Settings).

You need to assign the texture to the hair shader.

Please read the Maya Online Help / Documentation for more details (or search in web for maya xgen texture).
