Hello I have a TREX model for maya and it is based on Mental ray (picture 2 the dark one) I have used the conversion script and then got a glossy look increased the thoughness and the result is shown below. Problem is Arnold is not giving the skin details of the TREX not like mental ray. what should I fo to make the model best_? Thanks for your time.

Hi!

Do the conversion manual (there is no 1:1 conversion possible from Mental Ray to Arnold).

Hi

You need to look at the controls for the aiStandardSurface shader for the main "look" https://support.solidangle.com/x/yw1kAg . The specular and subsurface controls will help you a lot.

After that if there is bump mapping or displacement you will need to look at that shader set up, basically as @mspeer says, the two renderers are very different so you'll have to do the conversion manually, the scripts will only help you part of the way.

These are the main docs for the Arnold for Maya (MtoA) plugin, there are tutorials available there as well. I suggest you look through them and take it a stage at a time.
