Missing Render Setting Tabs

I noticed that when I open the render settings window, I only have the tabs Common, and Maya Software. I've watched tutorial videos and they have more tabs to choose from, like Quality, Scene, Configuration, and Diagnostics. Is it because I have the student version of Maya? I've searched this up and others say you do get the same features as the full version.

no it´s because you choose: render using "maya software".
in this dropdown should appear other render engines as well depending on your maya version it could be mental ray or arnold ( if loaded in the plugin manager ) next to maya hardware.
