Mental Ray renders only spotlight

Hello.

I'm using Maya 2018 with mental ray plugin.

The problem is that mental ray does not render any kind of light except for spotlight. Even if GI is on, the render screen is completely black, with no signs of lights. Sun and sky creation work, but none of the other lights (direct, volume, area, etc.) do.

I have final gather on, use mia materials (sometimes with Blinn).

I tried to play with few setting and increase intensity of light sources up to unimaginable amounts, but nothing works.

I'm a bit desperate since I can't render things properly, and would be very grateful for your help.

Hi!

Mental Ray is not supported with the latest versions of Maya 2018.

Maya 2018 is the last version supported by mental ray, and I downloaded and installed mental ray version officially issued by Nvidia for Maya 2018.

Hi!

As far as i know development stopped slightly before or after the first Maya 2018 release.

Anyway i recommend to ask this at the NVIDIA forum too.

Hello.

Yes, I'm familiar with this issue. I have found the latest (and lastest) available mental ray on their forum, which was for Maya 2018. Therefore, the problem is not in the version.
I also found out that it renders directional light, so in total just two.

Hi!

If it's a scene related issue then a scene-file (.ma) is needed for troubleshooting.
