I have been trying to render this animation I'm working on several times to no avail. It's only around 10 seconds long/300 frames. There is a decent amount of objects, but nothing extreme. Very simple, minimal shapes and the only animation is the camera itself moving through the scene. Been trying to render it at various resolutions and qualities and nothing has worked any differently.
What happens is I chose Maya Software as my rendering option and I chose my render settings as I've been told in my class (I'm taking a 3D animation class for this stuff). Once I set everything up I hit batch render and it says in the bottom dialog box "Rendering with Maya Software...". A couple icons pop up in the dock (another Maya icon and a render-specific icon, neither of which actually open when clicked on) and it stays there indefinitely. Nothing gets rendered at all.
I've tried all options I can even what suggestions my professor emailed me to no avail. It's extremely infuriating and I'm desperate for some help. I still have a half of the semester to go and if my computer can't render scenes... I'm a little worried to say the least. And I just enjoy working with 3D and I want to be able to make small things in my free time!
Any help is appreciated. I also made a screen recording of the whole process, render settings and all, so if that will be of any help I can provide that too. Would have included it here but I'm new to the forums and am not sure exactly how links work here.
