maya shaper shadows

I am trying to make a scene where there are shadow puppets seen through a cloth. I am using subsurface scattering to make the cloth but the shadow has too much noise. is there a way to make is sharper

Hi!

Increase the sampling values in Render Settings until it's noise free or use a single sided surface without thickness in combination with "Thin Walled" for the Arnold material.

Hi!

What does this mean "it did not work".

Please provide a screenshot and the scene-file.
