Image texture not showing in STL model file

Hi all,

I am really new on Maya and I am trying 2 days how to texture a model. I do all the steps but the model goes from grey and light grey. Cannot find out what I am doing wrong. I have tried with jpeg and psd. If I create a new random model it works but not with this one.

Here are all the steps I follow and bellow the file if anyone want to help.
