How to render glass correctly in Arnold?

Hello to all. Help me please. I want to render a glass object in arnold from maya, but in the renders the glass has no shadow at all and it feels like the object is floating in the air, how to fix this problem?(Attach screenshots)

Hi!

Shadows are created by objects blocking the light, if the object is fully transparent, then there are no shadows.

What you can do is:

1) Reduce the Transmission for the glass object.

2) Enable reflections on the ground surface

3) Even adding a texture to the ground surface can help

4) Fake caustics:

https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AFMUG/Fake+Caustic+Effect

Here some examples showing comparisons for 1) to 3).
