Error message about normals when attempting to render textured model in Arnold

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hey all,

I just imported some textures from Substance for this lamp thing here.

Applied textures as I usually would and have run into an error message (see below) that I haven't seen before.

The error to me suggests that a tx. is plugged in as the normal map but all of the normals are png formats.

This error message is also cycling through for most of the normals, as soon as I remove one object, I get the same error for a different normal map??

All textures are converted to tx before the render starts. That's the default behavior of MtoA.

That looks like your tx file is corrupt. Delete it and let MtoA generate a new tx file.

Note that the tx file will probably be locked. Use Arnold > Flush Caches > Textures to remove the tx from the texture cache so you can delete the file.
