Best setup for Arnold?

So, this may be a dumb question, as I lack the technical knowledge to come up with the answer on my own...

What would give you the best performance out of Arnold: more cpu cores, or fewer (but faster) cores? I'm looking to invest in a new workstation, specifically to render Arnold, and I don't know what would Arnold can take advantage of.

The more cores the better. 

# physical cores * clock speed will give you a rough estimate
