Batch render with Arnold in Maya 2017

Help please

I am trying to find out if I can batch render in Maya 2017 with Arnold? Nobody seems to be able to give me a clear answer, not even Autodesk. Do I need to buy additional license for Arnold or can I batch render without the water mark if I buy Maya 2017?

You need an Arnold license if you want to batch render without a watermark.

Does this means that now Maya does not include any renderer to render sequences?

It means you need an Arnold license to batch render a sequence with Arnold.

Or you can render a sequence in Maya with the Render > Render Sequence command.

not in the background any more like we could do with Mental Ray for the past 10 years. Even though Autodesk owns Solid Angle, they are not giving us Arnold background rendering, unless you now want to pay additional over the already high cost of annuall fees.

But the answer is: Yes, there is no (Arnold) background rendering included with Maya 2017.
