Batch Render not working, only renders one frame.

Ok So running out of ideas. Problem I'm having is when I try to batch render it only does one frame then claims the job is complete. What's more is the image file it makes from that one frame doesn't even open.

I'm running Windows 7 and using Maya 2018, Maya Software Renderer. When I render the scene inside Maya for single frame renders it works perfectly.

Things I have tried.

Resetting default Maya preferences. No luck there.

Making a new scene and importing the old one. Swing and a miss.

Making a new scene and adding objects 1 by 1. Actually has some success but seems to fail when some objects are in the same frame. My scene is an arcade with a custom arcade machine in the center of the frame. I put in the lights, the main machine, the room that this is all set up in. Batch render does 10 test frames fine. Add another machine that's off camera in the first 10 frames, batch render does fine. Reposition the camera so this extra machine is visible. Same error I've been having pops up. Only renders one frame that can't even be opened.

Ran a render diagnostic and got one error over and over but no clue what it means or how to correct it.

"revengefrommars1:PinballMachineShape has no shading group associated with it. This
means that it will not be rendered. Please assign it to a shading group."

But the thing is, it does have a shading group, it pops up when I do my single frame render of the whole scene. I copied it into a empty scene and set up a 10 frame batch render and that worked perfectly.

Whatever this problem is I have to think it's related to all these objects being in scene together. But I have no idea how to fix that.

Same here, soo frustrating.

would like to know if the issue has been resolved at the end.

Ok so I eventually figured out in my scene it was related to something that I had video files as textures. For whatever reason even though they worked fine in my scene they did not play well with the Maya batch render process. So what I did was convert the video file to a frame image sequence that played nice with Maya's naming convention (NAME.Frame Number.Extension so Spaceship.001.jpg for example) and then the render worked.
