batch render isn't tracking correct camera placement

I'm working on a short animation. I have two cameras, the first gives first-person perspective of the video's subject while the second is embedded in an object.

When playblasting and image rendering, the cameras are rendering correctly. However, when I batch render, the viewpoint is displaced. For the first camera, the rendering is depicted from behind the object rather than right in front of it. For the second camera, it's rendering in front of where it should be. in both cases, the displacement is in the same direction on the x axis.

I've searched for this problem online and not found anything. I've also tried closing and reopening maya, carefully combing render settings and camera settings, and even tried manually calibrating for the displacement by moving the cameras in the opposite direction from the displacement. The latter attempted solution strangely failed to move the rendered perspectives whatsoever.

any ideas?the camera's view, as correctly captured by an image renderthe camera's view, as correctly captured by an image renderthe batch rendered view. as you can see, it's zoomed inthe batch rendered view. as you can see, it's zoomed in
