Can anyone tell me a method to create realistic atmospheric haze to use when rendering landscapes in Arnold? In Vray there is the 'aerial perspective' that simulates the atmospheric scattering (slight fogging, desaturation, colour shift etc). In Mental Ray the Sky-sun system worked well for haze.
The standard Arnold aiFog and volume scattering do not seem workable for a realistic result and I have not been able to build a method that works.
This is such a fundamental feature that I cannot believe that Arnold does not have a built in feature for this.
Is there a work-around that anyone has developed? (eg a script that can plug into volume scattering?). Years ago, Amaan Akaram created his aa physical sky (which seems very good), but this is not available.
Also, I do not want to do this in post compositing.
Thanks in advance!
