Hi there,
I've been working with Maya for about 5 years, and I just encountered a problem I haven't dealt with before, I'm hoping someone can help, please.
I'm testing out some lighting in my scene, and I added a couple of photometric lights, which I've used before. The final render (While still in Maya), shows the lighting adequately, despite the fact that it just randomly stopped rendering before it should have. When I saved the render out as a .png (as I normally do), the saved photo did not show the photometric lights, as well showed quite a bit of opacity on the object; not shown in Arnold render view. I did apply some opacity to object in Maya, but the photometric lights pretty much overruled the opacity.
Problem #1 - Why is Arnold not fully rendering the shot?
Problem #2 - Why are the photometric lights not showing in the saved PNG?
I would appreciate any suggestions. I just recently upgraded from 2018 to 2022 earlier this year. I have noticed quite a few bugs. If it makes a difference, this was a CPU render, bot GPU. The GPU render looks like garbage when trying to render out my glass and lighting. - thank you 🙂
UPDATE: After I posted this I tried saving as a JPG, and the lights were were present. Anyone know why they would show in JPG and not PNG? Still having the issue of Arnold not fully rendering shots. - thanks
