Arnold GPU Render not using all available GPU Memory

Hello, I have been trying to render a scene in Arnold though the gpu drivers crash if I set the resolution to anything above 720p, I believe this is because only 39MB of memory is "free" for each of my gpu's.  I am running 2 gpu's, a NVIDIA GTX 1050 and GTX 1070 with completely up to date drivers, the GPU's have a total memory of 2048 and 8192 respectively although Arnold is showing that only 39MB of memory is "free" for each gpu (see attached screenshot).  Is there any way to increase the "free" memory so I can render scenes in higher resolution?

Things I have tried already:
- Reinstalling GPU drivers
- Deleting/Repopulating my GPU cache

Could you postg a full log please.

Even there is something free it doesnt mean Arnold does need more. Or it needs much more. Free memory is no indicator why its crashing.

Alright I have attached the Arnold Render Log.  I assumed that it crashed because of a memory problem because thats what the error was saying. 
I am using Arnold Core 6.2.0.1, MtoA 4.2.1

Could you try to render the scene without displacement. And lower SubD settings.

I tried rendering without displacement and lower poly but it still crashes when I try and render at 1k, 2k or 4k resolution.  Though It renders fine with displacement at 720p.   And I know my GPU's are powerful enough to render a scene like this in HD, it is a fairly simple scene and I am able to render scenes even more complex than this in other 3D software like Blender

Could you post a full info log. So we can see where the ram is used.
And a screengrab of the scene.

GPU errors are sometimes due to a GPU not having enough remaining free memory. To see if this is what happened here, try simplifying your scene or running on a GPU with more free RAM to see if it solves the crash. First use only one graphics card. The slower one does only slow your rendertime. Cause it does render the half of the image.

 

That try to hide objects in your scene. First try only the background. Than bring in one by one.

Alright I tried a few renders using just my GTX 1070.  The GTX 1070 on its own can render up to 1k resolution (see attatched image) but it crashes if I try to render in 2k or above.  The GTX 1050 on its own can only render up to 720p.   Here is a screenshot of my scene and the GTX 1070 render in 1k.  As you can see it is just a simple scene with a donut, so I would have thought that my GTX 1070 would have been able to render this in a resolution above 2k without any problems.   I also tried rendering just the background and podium in 4k, without the donut and it still crashed
