As You can see in the link ( https://coconuts.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/skeleton_1.jpg )- bones' volume is uneven. When part of skull is thin- it's volume is thick, and with wider skull elements- the volume gets thinner. The visible result is sss effect that acts predictible on edges, but instead of dissappearing on wider model parts- stays visible. I think that I need two materials- one with less weighy sss and another with stronger sss to apply them according to width of the model. To make material switch in parts when model goes above certain width. Does enyone know how to do that in Arnold? Thank You!

I would bake and paint some blend maps in Substance Painter.
Im still a little curious if thats possible to be done in Maya only, but Your solution totally works 🙂 Thank You!
