What is the license for the Maya binaries and header files?

Hello, my company is going to be working on some Maya plugins written in C++, for internal use. We would like to put the Maya devkit static libraries and headers into our repository for this purpose, but I have been asked to establish the license for these libraries (e.g. OpenMaya.lib etc.). So I have two questions:

  • What is the formal license associated with these libraries?
  • Is it ok to put these in our repository?

Thanks.

Hi,

Q:What is the formal license associated with these libraries?

A:There is an EULA in the Maya 2018 devkit update 3.

Q:Is it ok to put these in our repository?

A:You can add the DevKit files to your private repository, but you are not allowed to share them publicly. If you need to share them publicly for sharing a source code project, you should specify the version of the devkit needed, and create a link to the devkit download on Autodesk website instead.

Yours,

Li
